Biophysics & Biophotonics Research Group

The Biophysics & Biophotonics Research Group is part of the Physiology Department in the Faculty of Medical & Health Sciences at the University of Auckland. Our research uses advanced optical methods to probe signal transduction pathways in living cells. In addition to two-photon molecular excitation microscopy, confocal microscopy and microfluorimetry, conventional electrophysiological and immunocytochemical techniques are used to examine and clarify the inter-relationship among various components of cellular signal transduction.
